Week 1 (15-16 Sep 2007) As always, the opening weekend is celebrated as America's Heroes Weekend with free admission for past and present military, law enforcement & fire fighter personnel. The Express Band performed along with Big Bear's own Polka Tots and Joyful Noise Cloggers. Enjoy!
Week 2 (22-23 Sep 2007) And here we go with week 2. This weekend included Die Original Treppensteiger Band, direct from Germany plus performances by Big Bear's own Polka Tots and the preliminaries of the Oktoberfest Queen stein carrying contest (which I don't seem to have managed many pictures of).
Week 3 (29-30 Sep 2007) Now we've reached week 3 and the Die Original Treppensteiger Band, direct from Germany was still with us and we were joined by the Die Gemütlichen Schühplattler dance group. There were more preliminaries of the Queen contest but again I do not seem to have taken any pictures to share.
Week 4 (05-07 Oct 2007) There's a couple more pictures this week since it was a three-day weekend; Local's Night was Friday. Die Original Treppensteiger Band, direct from Germany were back for their final weekend this year along with the always well-received Danube-Swabian Dance Group who are all descendants of the Danube-Swabian area of Germany So, click on the link at the beginning of this paragraph and let's move on to the pictures.
Week 5 (13-14 Oct 2007) Here we are in week five of seven. We welcome back The Express Band and, in addition, one of my favorite dance groups came back again this year - The Cripple Creek Cloggers (try saying that real fast). They're based in Southern California and are always well received. In addition it was the finals of the Queen contest and I managed to get a few pictures of Tracy Rice accepting her trophy. Week 6 (20-21 Oct 2007) The Express Band joined us for the weekend and we were also entertained for the second time this year by the well-received Danube-Swabian Dance Group who are all descendants of the Danube-Swabian area of Germany. Week 7 (27 Oct 2007) Well, this being our last weekend (actually day) of this year's Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest, we finished it off with our traditional German Spooktacular where prizes were awarded to both children and adults whose costumes were voted the best.
