Here we are at our 5th of 7 weekends. It marked the return of Southern California's Premiere German band, The Express Band, and the finals of the unique Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest Queen contest. As you may or may not know, the Queen wins that honor by carrying the highest number of steins filled with liquid (each weighing 5 lbs.). This years Queen is Shala Williams who ended up carrying 16 steins (you do the math). I was able to get a movie of her winning carry and I'll let you view that before we get to the pictures.
Now lets move on to the pictures. We did get snow this mid-week as promised and we enjoyed the very first edition of Oktoberfest Unplugged on Friday night. I've included a couple pictures from that event to try to give you an idea of the concept before we move on to the weekend's pictures. I hope you enjoy them.
