For the benefit of those of you that might not have heard, I’d like to take a minute to remember a long time friend and chronicler of Big Bear life that we lost this past March. Richard Millener could be found taking pictures at practically every event that happened in Big Bear - Old Miners, Oktoberfest, Chile Cook offs, Polar Plunge, New Years Parties, Wyatt’s, Car Shows, you name it. If it was happening, Richard was there with his camera recording the event.
He was a friend and I’d like to share some of my photos that happened to capture him in action over the years. Sorry it took so long to put this together but I’ve got more than 50,000 (!) pictures I had to go through to pull out any with him in them. But in the end it turned out to be a fun project because it brought back many fond memories. As far as a can tell, these are presented in chronological order and the year taken is part of the file name. Since I could, I chose to include more rather than less. Feel free to skip through them as fast or slow as you’d like. As always, pick a photo and use your arrow keys to move back and forward as you please or select the slide show option at the bottom.
It’s not quite the same without you around.
RIP, Friend!
