Week 6 (13-14 Oct. 2018)

Well, we’re now into week 6 of 9.  We also welcomed Die Böhmische Straßenmusikanten, direct from Germany, for their first of three weeks.  This is the first time for them entertaining us.  I have one short video of them where they managed to encourage a lot of audience participation in a traditional dance (0:48).

And now let’s get to the pictures.  The weekend didn’t get off to the best of starts since we had rain on Saturday until maybe mid-afternoon as you’ll notice in some of the pictures and it resulted in several adjustments in the entertainment schedule.  When it stopped raining people once again started navigating to some of the outside venues and things got a slight bit closer to normal.  There was even a long line to enter when we left in the early evening so not everyone gave up on attending.

And if ever you could say a weekend had a theme, this Sunday brought to the fore the number 8.  As in 8 buses on the same day and almost the same times!  There were 4 that went around the lake on tours and came back to enter around noon and 4 that just arrived around noon and came in.  With each bus containing around 40 people, you can envision how hectic it was executing this whole day: seating them, feeding them, and even just getting the buses parked.  And then imagine the fun that was had when 6 of them decided to leave around 3-3:30 (the other 2 stayed until almost 6pm).  I hope everyone made it onto their own buses and then to their own homes.  Quite a day, to say the least.  All the extra Gaudis, security, kitchen help, and Jeff orchestrating the parking went over and above to get it done.  It’s also my excuse for not capturing more pictures (or any video) on Sunday since I was involved in helping the guests for a good part of the day.

So, moving on, click on a picture to start with and use the arrow keys to navigate through them or select the slideshow option and watch them on cruise control.
